Reviewer: Smut Book Lover
Warning: This review is for book 2 of a series. If you haven’t read book 1 Driven checkout Smut Book Lovers review here. If you read this review of book 2 without reading book 1 there may be spoilers.
This is the first ARC I have received to review for SMIBookClub I have given a 5 to! Readers, there is a reason Ms Bromberg’s book is at the top of the Amazon Kindle best seller list, this book is fucking fabulous. I loved the first book, Driven, but Fueled was beyond amazing, I can’t gush enough.
When we last left Colton & Rylee, Colton was kicking her out of his bedroom & we weren’t altogether sure why. Nightmare, perhaps? This man comes with a serious load of baggage and had a horrible childhood (makes Christian Grey’s look like a cake walk) before his adoption. He does not believe that he deserve to be loved, he is a self prophesying relationship martyr. Rylee is the woman that can tame this wild, broken man or can she get past his former love life and her own stubbornness? God, these two are the most stubborn and frustrating couple I have ever read about, but I loved them!
Colton’s bevy of blond ex’s continue to rear their nasty heads. Good god that man slept with half of LA & they turn up at every event the couple attends. These plastic bimbos always corner Rylee somehow and make her feel insignificant and totally replaceable. Especially the infamous Tawny who works for Colton still. I cannot think of a character I despise more than this blond bitch. At one point around 50% thru the book Rylee lets that bitch have it & leaves Tawny speechless for once. Although she gets back at Rylee later at that the turning point in the story.
The sex is so freaking HOT in this book! The places these two hook up, wow. I won’t give anything away, but remember he is a race CAR driver…..hint, hint…
I loved this book! This is one of my new favorite trilogies. Colton and Rylee steam up the pages, whether they are fighting, fucking, or just sharing their secrets. Warning you will not be able to put this book down. This couples relationship is one big roller coaster. You start to learn more about Colton’s childhood before his adoption & Rylees’s past is completely unfolded. Another warning, you will want to reach into the book and slap the ever loving shit out of both them because they as stubborn as a damn mule.
The end….I am not giving it away, I never do, but Ms Bromberg also begged us not to in her forward in the ARC copy. But let me tell you all, I have never read a book, where I was like ok this has got to be the end & then there was more, then I would be like, seriously this is it, nope another short chapter. Holy shit, the author did an amazing job of just keeping it going, like the scene was is slow motion.
So what are you waiting for? If I haven’t convinced you to go buy this book by now, tweet me and I will talk you into it. You will not be disappointed. There is a third coming out, not sure when. Plus you will want to reread this book several times it is so good. Thank ya, Ms Bromberg for another fabulous book!!
P.S. read my review on Driven. I was a snarky bitch because there were so many comparisons to FSOG. She toned it down a lot in this book. However she used the phrased green eyes looking into violet, several times. This is a line I remember from FSOG. But that’s it. Laters!
SMIBookClub received an ARC of Fueld from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Meet the Author:
K. Bromberg was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from University of California at San Diego with two bachelors—economics and political science—but always loved to write.
K. Bromberg remains in Southern California with her husband and their three young children. When not writing or working her day job, she can be found playing ninjas or power rangers with her son, fixing the hair of her oldest daughter’s American girl doll, doing ‘arts and crapts’ with her youngest daughter, or listening to any or all of them fight/whine/giggle at once. When she needs a break from the daily chaos, you can almost always find her with Kindle in hand, devouring the pages of a good book, or mentally outlining her next set of characters.
Fueled is K. Bromberg’s second published novel and is the highly anticipated second book of “The Driven Trilogy.” Driven was her well-received debut novel and Book #1 of the series.
5 e-copies of Fueled, 1 signed copy of Driven (domestic) and 2 $25 Amazon G/C
